Post-Partum Companion/Doula
Traditionally cultures around the world have regarded the post-partum time as an important stage in the birthing person’s life. Some cultures in Latin America refer to this time as 'la cuarentena' and it is thought that the way the person takes care of themselves during this time can influence their general and sexual health for years to come. The birth of a baby (or babies) present a profound change in the emotional and physical body of the bearing person and also the family, a post partum companion provides non-judgmental support to individuals and families and can facilitate an easier transition during this time
